About this app

Control and monitor your Daikin Ducted Air Conditioner from your Android smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi or internet.
This "Airbase" app will provide the majority of functions already available via the Daikin wall mounted remote control panel.

Standard functions such as On/Off, temperature, fan speed and mode of operation are easily set or monitored via the App.

Additional functions such as easy set On/Off timers, Push notification, Interactive setup wizard, Dealer contact details and maintenance functions are also provided.

Depending on the model of air conditioner, indoor and outdoor temperature is also displayed.

If a Daikin Zone Controller is fitted to the air conditioner, the naming and remote control of zone dampers is also supported.

The zone control functionality also requires the Daikin Air Conditioner to be fitted with a Daikin Zone Controller (model BRC24Z4A, BRC24Z8A, BRC230Z4A or BRC230Z8A) along with associated zone control dampers.

This application requires a compatible Daikin Air Conditioner fitted with Daikin Wireless LAN Connecting Adapter (BRP15B61).

The App and Adapter also supports Daikin light commercial (Sky Air) split systems such as under-ceiling and cassette models.
If the indoor unit has a swing louver function, the App will recognise this and provide an additional air flow direction button and indication symbol.

Bug when trying to change the time zone. It closes the app. While the app is usable I thought it would be a fair bit better for the price of the device. Can't edit schedules etc it's completely seperate from the other controller. Can only set a timer and only activates if in mobile service and are connected to the device.

The Airbase app connects through WiFi when you are at home and you can leave it like that. But you can also connect to the system while you are away and that's a good feature too. What's not so good is that you can't see your timer programs from the app and it seems that if you update the names of zones in the app, they don't change on the controller. I'd also like to see that there are more than 2 programs on the controller as its not enough to define 2 on/off periods in a day.

Overall the app works well to control my ducted AC though sometimes it can take a while between a change made in the app and it being reflected by the AC. Also it does have the tendency to occasionally complain that it can't connect to or find the wireless adaptor even when connected to the same wifi. This is typically resolved by a quick refresh however it is quite the nuisance.
