About this app

Queensland school communities can interact with their favourite state schools using the QSchools smartphone app.

The QSchools app is a convenient way to receive up-to-the-minute information from and about schools.

While all schools are searchable using the app, the full app features are designed to integrate with the department’s preferred school website platform, to allow users to see when news, events and newsletters are posted to their selected school website. Users can also see other useful information provided by the school, such as tuckshop menus, uniform shop information, class times and the school’s and the department’s social media feeds.

The school community can also receive emergency announcements such as natural disasters and school closures through the app.

The QSchools app is particularly useful to parents who have students in different schools, as the app manages updates from multiple schools.

- Learn more about state-wide initiatives, projects and events through the department’s integrated Facebook and Twitter feeds and YouTube channel ‘DETQueensland’.

Ratings and reviews

I like the app overall as I'm able to see what my kids school schedules are like when they have excursions etc.... but with the last update haven't been able to do a quick add of the schedule of the school/schools schedule have to manually add it to my calendar. I would like that feature back please.

Useful features removed (adding events to calendar) and bugs not fixed (+25 notifications about a newsletter in under 8hrs - plot twist: actually no new newsletter!). Was a decent app, now just a battery draining spamming waste of memory.

Used to so helpful and efficient but i may as well unstall as it's now basically useless for the current time,and as it seems also,the future too..I'm hanging in limbo here on the very borderline to ditch you QSchools.But also Still all the though while hoping something will change suddenly and this app will once more be my daily saviour like it was before.Chances are not looking good there..You used to be a 4.5star app. to me,what happened??
