First and foremost every bus stop has a code, let's just concentrate on that. An inexperienced traveler on the metro system walks up to a bus stop. There is a special code for that stop, why not provide an app which allows one to simply enter that code and the app simply displays the available services and arrival times to that user. Why mess about with irrelevant bs, get the point, get to the destination.
I am looking at the app and even though I am on the 271, the app believes the next 271 to come 3 stops ahead isnt there for 18 minutes. This app makes people miss buses because half of them don't even come up. The app is worthless if AdelaideMetro can't keep it semi-accurate. Whole buses should not disappear.
The timetable section just opens a browser and links to the website. This should be in the actual app, not an external link. Literally the most important bit of information and it's not included inside the app. There's no reason to use this over third party apps which provide easy to use in-app timetables.
This app will only display the next four train departures. Today at 3.00pm i tried to find out when the next train was leaving that would get me to my city stop before 7.00pm. Can not find that out with this app. Had to download a timetable instead which kind of makes this app pointless. Time to uninstall it but i will keep the downloaded timetableas it is quicker and contains relevant information.
This is fantastic app. I set my work, home and favourite pub as favourite locations and then the stops that i use for these locations. Super easy to use and setup, I was up and running in minutes. Clearly a huge amount of work has gone into the UI :) One suggestion, add an arrow (left/right) or a tool tip to make it obvious that you have to swipe left or right between your favourite locations - took me longer than it should to figure this out. Looking forward to metocard balance integration.
Real time arrivals pretty much perfect! It removes the questions of "have I just missed the bus?" and "is there a bus actually on its way?".
