Does your voice assistant not recognize your Flemish accent? Does customer service AI not understand you when you simply speak Flemish? That's because AI models are primarily trained on Dutch from the Netherlands.

We're doing something about that!

== How does Maarallee work? ==

With the Maarallee app, you contribute to the largest Flemish speech project ever. By simply answering short questions in your own dialect, accent, or accent, you help build a database that teaches AI how we really speak.

== Why your voice matters ==

Speech technology is used everywhere: from live subtitles to medical applications, from education to customer service. Without Flemish data, there would be no good Flemish speech recognition. Your contribution makes AI more accessible to all Flemish people.

Especially important if you:
- Are a woman
- Are from Limburg
- Are under 34
- Are over 65

There is a serious shortage of speech data for these groups!

This is citizen science where everyone can participate. Whether you're from Neerpelt, Ostend, or Borgerhout—from Acid to Willem Vermandere, from Natalia to Belle Perez—all voices are welcome!
