The Road of San Colombano Wine and the Food of Lodi in Augmented Reality.

An itinerary of about 60 km, along which the discerning tourist is offered, a short distance from Milan, a land brimming with splendid historic villages, villas and places where culture, art and history mingle and are enriched by a great variety of wines and typical local products.

The tour starts in Milan, crosses the Lodi countryside, touches the hills of San Colombano al Lambro, passes through a series of charming small towns before arriving in Lodi. The route offers excellent accommodation and restaurant facilities, including farm-style holiday complexes, restaurants, wine shops, wine producers and their cellars as well as delicious local produce such as cheeses, cold cuts and traditional confectionery. Handicrafts also play an important role in this area. The 'figulini' of Lodi, that is the ancient potters of the town, enjoyed a flourishing period at the beginning of the eighteenth century and today the town boasts the only certified pottery laboratory in Lombardy. Also famous are the precious jewellery items of the Graffignana jewellers and the wrought iron works of Sant'Angelo Lodigiano. All this coupled with a beautiful setting and superb hospitality of the locals who are always eager to welcome tourists during the numerous events that are held to promote the culture of their territory.
