Touch Protector is a touch disabling app to prevent unintended operations on the touch screen. This app completely disables touch operations on the other app which is displayed on the screen.
Use cases:
- Child lock: When you let children watch movie, lock screen with this app. All touches on screen are blocked and movie will continue to play. Hardware (physical) buttons except power can be disabled also.
- Unintended touch blocker Have you ever been careful not to touch the screen while watching memos, maps or etc.? By locking screen with this app, you can hold your phone tightly, put your phone in your pocket.
- Quick phone locker Have you ever wanted very quick locking and unlocking way? This app allows you lock your phone quickly by shaking it, putting it into your pocket or lower your hand with a phone. 1. The notification lock feature doesn't work. Because by tapping physically the notification-lock, the screen doesn't lock. 2. The Power Key and the Volume Up and Down Key's long-press-to-unlock feature does not work properly, because just by fairly short physical press and hold (less than 0.5 second), the screen will unlock immediately. My 2.5 year old son is able to press and hold for 3 seconds because he is expecting to see things happened. Don't underestimate the toddlers' intelligence. 3. Back key to unlock doesn't work at all with short press or long press. 4. Shake to unlock doesn't work, for instance, shake hard by 10 times. 5. My device is HP SLATE 7 VOICETAB 6101RA tablet with Android version 4.4.2. Appreciate if you can look into the matter.

I don't understand why this app needs to monitor any next I type, specifically credit card numbers. Not cool. If you think I'm going to trust when you say "we don't collect your data" and then you ask me to basically let you play big brother.... yeah no.

I have two kids under 4 and they can navigate around my Hudl and phone with no problem. This app stops them buying in app purchase. It keeps them where they are supposed to be. I love it.

Says good for netflix but not usable for Netflix. When use pull down to activate lock netflix pauses which you are then unable to unpause.

Yes, it's not cool. This app uses accessibility service to block physical button and improve video playback while locked. For example, if you don't turn on it, this app may not disable RECENT APPS button while locked on your phone. Although accessibility mechanism allows app to capture/ignore many events, this app uses it only for locking feature. Once you start this app, it standbys all the time even if your phone is restarted. If you want to stop this app, touch the "Quit Touch Protector" at the bottom of the settings menu of this app.
This app works fine on my Sony Xperia XZ. Please make sure that the Start Touch Protector automatically option is turned on. Easier to use than other similar apps. Shake to start, vol down to turn off is easiest for me. Set up your own off and on that works best for you.

Thank you for your review! Doesn't block software keys (home, switcher or back) nor the notification pull-down on galaxy s8. Shake to lock is a good feature though
Great app on muy old galaxy s7 but it doesn't fully work on my galaxy s8+. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Absolutely the best app for protection against making embarrassing pocket calls, or accidentally moving / deleting icons and has stopped inadvertently changing settings in phone and apps. The Developer is super helpful and offered immediate troubleshooting via email. NB: To Team Obake Biz please consider adding an avenue for donations, I would be more than happy to contribute and keep this app ad free, I am certain other users would agree.

This app never get your sensitive information. The message is shown by Android OS for all accessibility services. This message lets you know that if the app is malicious, such information may be stolen. Therefore, this app shows the message "This service will NOT use, store or send any of your private data" before you turn on the service. Great app. Ran it satisfactorily under Android 4. I recently installed it under Marshmallow and ran into problem with the accessibility settings; I just can't get the settings to stick. I believe it's an Android bug and I tried several solutions that were proposed on the web but none of them worked. Are the devs aware of this problem, and do you have a solution?

Thank you for your report of the issue. Is the issue that it's not able to keep the Touch Protector accessibility service on? I've heard few times such issue, but I don't have the solution and I couldn't reproduce the behavior.
When is the setting turned off? After rebooting? Very useful. The only flaw is you can't block power/wakeup button.

Thanks for your review comment. Due to Android OS limitation, power button can't be blocked. Worked once with Netflix, now whenever I lock the screen it pauses Netflix.

Please try the following.
1. turn on the "Touch Protector" accessibility service.
2. turn on the "Keep Netflix / Amazon video playing" option.
3. lock with proximity sensor while Netflix playing.
But there is a limitation because your phone doesn't have the hard buttons (home,...) The limitation is the soft buttons(home,...) can't be blocked. xiaomi user here with android 6. Sometimes this app disables recent, home and back key by itself.... had to force close this app to fix it

Thanks very much! :-) I wish there was a setting to change the way we can unlock the screen. My kid figured it out so now this app is usless. It was amazing at first because I could play our movies on her tablet and she couldn't turn it off and start wildly opening anything she could. Then she figured it out that the volume button unlocks it.

This app has some locking / unlocking methods in its settings. In your case, try the setting below.
1. in her tablet's settings, setup the device lock with pattern, PIN or ... you want.
2. in this app's settings, turn ON the "Unlocking while device lock" and turn OFF other unlocking ways.
To unlock, push power key twice, touch screen and login. Best app I've used for this purpose. Minor complaint: when using with a full screen video app (YouTube for example), it will cause the navigation buttons and notifications to be visible. If this gets fixed then it will be perfect. Please try to turn on the "Full screen" option which hide the navigation software buttons. I hope it will help you. It would be even better if on a droid 2, all the soft keys were blocked from being used. But the recents key seems to still work so it's. Bit useless for a 2 year old that taps all over the screen and hits that soft key. Fix that and I'd be in love with this app again.

Have you turned on the accessibility service from top of the setting menu of this app? This is the mandatory setup instruction to block recent apps hardware button. If you turned on the accessibility service and the issue still remains, please let me know. Frustrated. Trying to find an app that allows me to watch Netflix with my 2 year old. This app states it does. It does not. It will lock the screen but also freezes the movie. So it does not help.

Please make sure the following 2 points.
1) Have you turned on Accessibility service? If you see the "TURN ON ..." red message at the top of settings of this app, you haven't.
2) Have you checked the "Keep Netflix ..." option under "DETAILS WHILE LOCKED" category in the settings of this app?
I hope it will help you. If not solved, plz let me know. This used to run just fine, but now I have to turn on the accessibility service every time i use it. It doesn't retain the setting. :( (Axon 7 / Nougat)
It has lots of handy options, and works great for most situations! A minor issue: The "Fix screen orientation" option forces portrait mode only, even when already set to landscape. My situation: I was really hoping to use this app to help an older gentleman with poor motor skills to be able to read an e-book in large-print. Unfortunately, it blocks using the volume keys to control the e-reader app, and the volume is changed instead. So I'm left with no way to turn the page. :/ Update: I have also tried a keyboard and a mouse (using USB-OTG), but they are blocked as well.
It actually works, Its just people aren't smart enough to look at the settings -.- I really like the app because out of the other 100 screen lock apps this one actually works. Keep up with the good work m8 *-*

Thanks for your review comment. The overlay icon is planed in the future development. Baby keeps unlocking it. Samsung s5 has buttons on bottom that minimizes the screen. I can't figure how to lock those buttons. If I cant lock them this app is useless.

I guess you did not turn on the accessibility service. Please see the top of the settings menu of this app, you will see the red colored message. I used this as a screen lock for my phone, and it's cool, maybe you should put some more features in there like digital clock so i don't have to unlock my phone to see the time,
