Very useful, basic word pad like desktop. Only since I've updated my phone to android 8, I can't figure out how to get wordpad to open files from my SDCARD? I have dozens saved on the sdcard but it keeps asking for the PATH and nothing I try works. It only reads from local storage which does me no good.
like the side panel design, but plz make the 3dot indicators an option. 1) open file dialog allows to open files from external SD-card, but only when path is set to it. file browser does not see external SD-cards, thus browsing to it is not possible. 2) saving to external SD-card fails. 3) app stopps when going directory-up while in internal SD-card top directory. fortunately current document is not lost in that case. 4) set document path in settings needs a 'select directory'-dialog.
It's all right. I prefer light background with dark text, and I haven't figured out a way to change the menu button colour. If you set the background to grey, they become invisible and I have to memorise their position or randomly stab my finger at the screen. It would be nice if the text colour change also changed the menu button outline. It's still my preferred text editor because there's no ads and no invasive permissions :)
Very usefully. V1.0 "Build 21 - Fixed state saving after canceling out of the save dialog - Added long click in the open dialog to allow rename and delete of files ". On HTC ONE [m7] Vodafone 4g, Android 5.0.2. Sense 6.0. SmartLauncher 3.24.11F(beta).
Overall, good. One problem... After the latest phone update for my galaxy s5 I can't see the cursor anymore, which makes this pretty hard to use. I like the setup of the app, but this problem makes it hard to continue using it for the time being.
Really enjoy the good-looking simplicity and smoothness. I really love this app a lot over other similar ones I've tried. This is perfect for me - no fancy frills or annoying email sign-ups, etc. yet it still looks modern and sleek. It works dependably well, too. Two things though: (1) I wish you could hold down titles in the recent documents sidebar and select to delete individual documents from your recent history. (2) I also wish you could choose in settings what default file format to save as. I prefer to save all my files as .rtf instead of .txt because it's way more comprehensive when reading/transferring my files on my computer, other devices, or sending to others.
