So not sure why I didnt get this sooner. While I would still like to see some more sounds and features, this product is slick and blends right in with my decor. After a little fidgeting and a couple restless nights, I found the schedule feature which allows me to preset on and off and now not only does this help me to sleep, but when it goes off, I wake up ... no more dead phone batteries. I bought a single unit but now i see they have a double unit version which I might check out and put in my babies room. I wonder when they will allow more sounds to be added like the surf and wind? I would also like to tie this into my wemo lights so that I could sync them and maybe even turn lights on and off by speaking to the sleep machine. Another nice feature might be to have the sleep machine play music via bluetooth. I really like this a lot, nice job
Purchased the 2 pack, plugged them in as instructed, downloaded the app on my android phone, launched the app, and it cannot find the devices even though Bluetooth is on. It can't connect to Bluetooth and shows 2 instances of Nightingale in the list of devices. Worst user experience I've ever seen for a technology company. Seen this before with other companies... They try to build their own apps in house and it's terrible. Stick to the technology you're good at and leave the app building to the experts.
Love the device. Hate the app. Buggy. Difficulties logging in. Navigating issues etc .....
I am adjusting my review of this product. I was contacted by the gm, who helped me get into contact with their tech department. I spoke with a gal named Sam who was so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She saw an issue on the technical end that was preventing my phone from cennecting to my nightengale. She resolved the issue in timely manner, and I am back up and running. I cannot say enough how much great customer service means to me. I love the product and I'm a user for life, after my interactions with Stephen and Sam. Thank you!
This app has been overly buggy on my iPhone, so I thought the Android version would be better. Huge mistake. App can't even get past the login screen before bugging, looping, and crashing. Kickstarter backer, these have gotten worse, not better, since the launch. So disappointed in Cambridge sound.
I generally like the units themselves but this app has been nothing but problematic. As many others have experienced, it could not finish the setup. I'm a die hard Android fan & have never liked Apple but recently bought a used iPhone 5S from a friend for a great price. I needed it for an iOS only digital instrument. It's a good thing I had it because I don't think I ever would have gotten the units setup without it. It took more than an hour on the phone with tech support trying overall and over to get it working. Finally we succeeded - I think more out of luck than anything else. At that time, one the units were setup, I was finally able to use the Android app to control the units - though this was not without problems. One of the units would fill to respond randomly and generally, repeated attempts (including closing the app, restarting, etc) would eventually work. I wish it was seamless but it isn't yet. Latest update fried the app completely and it is locked in a startup bootloop that you have to click on the phones Android "home" icon, then the "opened apps" icon to finally be able to swipe it away. Otherwise it keeps flashing the screen in a continuous crashing bootloop. Please fix this! At least the app would open before this latest update.
Fixed issue where scan for Nightingale Device Scan would always fail. Now requesting location permission at run time.
