Ratings and reviews

I wanted to support Barnes and Noble, but this app has lots of problems. The page turning looks cool, but if you go back to the last page, when you flip forward it skips pages and you have to keep trying to get it back on track. The time estimates are off and didn't adjust. It would say that I had 30+ minutes left in a chapter that took 5 minutes. I couldn't highlight anything. The dictionary routes you to Google or Wikipedia. Overall not great, but I was able to read the book.

Sync and user interface are pretty good. I'm fiercely loyal to Nook for a few reasons, the main ones being that the books start with the cover and front matter, which is crucial to enjoying a book as the author and publisher intended, plus you can hide the "timer" at the lower left. I loathe being timed on anything and would rather enjoy the book on my own terms instead of playing the too-fast/too-slow games a timer can inspire.

The app has so much I like. However it crashes all the time. Plus the site doesn't let me browse for books to buy or review my wishlist. It blocks me for "suspicious behavior" or such. It wasn't a problem last year when I went looking to spend money, but now the company doesn't seem to want my money. I can browse Kindle all day and never be kicked from their site.
