Best reading app I love this app. Not only do they have a free book every Friday but they also have free book every month thru their serial read program. They have 1000s of other free books too. Plus their books are always better priced then the same exact books you can find in iBooks. You can also share books that you purchase through their lend me program with any of your friends for free for up to 7 days. There are so many ways that Nook offers an avid reader the ability to grow their library without breaking the bank.
Nook app I loved the nook app, never crashes. Doesn't use tons of data, and books I purchase are available instantly. The only negative that I have had consistently with any device I use is that if I read the same book on a different device and then later on go to read the same book on a separate device it asks me if I want to jump to the page I was reading on the first device. If I hit yes it locks the entire app up and I have to force close it. This happens on my phone and tablets so I know it's the app .
Keeps getting better The Android version is even better than the iOS version. I appreciate the Shelves/Stacks and the "Pages to Go" for each chapter. I never thought I would let go of physical books, but I've grown dependent on being able to carry my entire library all over the world on a device as small as my phone. The Nook app has made reading an ebook so much like reading a physical book that the only thing missing is the smell.
Works really well The reason it is a four and not a five star app is because it does not sync very well with other nook devices when it comes to pages. It will sometimes ask you if you want to sync but it doesn't sync pages when you tell it to, even when connected to the Internet. Other than that, it is a great app, and is very convenient. All that is required is a Barns&Noble account, which is free, and some money to buy books!
Ugh I use this app every day and previous to the most recent update would have given it 4 or even 5 stars. One of my favorite features is being able to adjust the brightness, page color, and font to make it easier on my eyes. It used to be automatic. But now I have to reset my font preference every time I open a new book and sometimes even while reading the same book. I want my preferences to be saved and not reset to the default every time I open a new book or reopen one I'm in the middle of reading.
With this latest update (6/2) all but one of the library of books I have purchased has DISAPPEARED! Where did my books go? Not in archive. Previous to this update, I'd give it a 4 star. UPDATE: Appreciate the quick response from the team but the suggestion was something I'd already done, to no avail. But it shows they are responsive and working on it. UPDATE # 2 Signing out and signing back in to the app on my phone did the trick! All my archived books are back. Thanks for the help! Changing my rating back to 5 stars.
