I've been using this app for about 3 years now (since I changed from a Nook device to a non Barnes & Noble Samsung Tab S Tablet) and I love it, I've never had any issues or problems! Easy to read, easy to shop, easy to customize and far more ways to organize your books than the Kindle app, this app is definitely superior. It works beautifully on both my phone and my tablet. If I can cleanly organize my library of nearly 1000 titles easily that must say something. You can adjust line spacing on the page, margin spacing, text size, background color and font. It's also an option to use the publisher's defaults. Once the app is open there's a book icon that takes you straight to where you last left off in your current book. You can also add bookmarks in multiple books. I love using shelves, personally I organize by author and series such as "Author - (Series Name) #books I have / # books in series" such as: Dean Koontz (Odd Thomas) 7/7 or J.R. Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood) 19/19 I then organize my shelves alpabetically. Which means they're sorted by author by default. If you're willing to create a good system for yourself and keep up with it, then the Nook app is as easy to use as any book store or library. There's even a search feature that will bring you right to any particular book whenever, from wherever, you want.
I love NOOK!! Never have any problems with app or billing or anything. I have around 200 books now and everything is perfect. Samples of the books are awesome, along with customer reviews and editorial reviews. You know what you are buying. Convenient, and books for every budget ( including some free selections. Can't say enough good things about NOOK. Don"t change a thing. Thank you
Been using the nook and the app for 5 years and it's so easy to use the only thing is some of the books I want are only paper back but it has so many nook books and has the most free books then other reading apps I have used. Overall very satisfied.
I like that the font size can be changed, there are several options, it keeps my screen on longer than the setting so I don't have to be constantly touching the screen to keep reading...and I get free books. Some are good, many are the first in a series, presumably to get me interested in the series so I'll buy the rest of it...but that's ok with me. I've not tried to change the fonts so I can't comment on that. I can read offline my current read as well as other recent books. Not sure how many. Anything in the cloud I have to open it first then I can read it offline. Overall heat rating app.
On 9/28/15 I said this about my Nook experience, "Fabulous e-reader! Great selection. Always available. No complaints." UPDATE 6/4/16: While that is almost all still true, the latest update imported files which do not belong in Nook. Please allow me to CHOOSE what files to import. Please also provide a way to delete files imported in error. UPDATE 4/5/17: The glitch I mentioned previously was resolved very soon thereafter. I thoroughly enjoy reading via Nook!
Have used Nook for years... grown up with it .... traded up on technology with it.... Know of no other as good... Love it... still have Gen I e-ink reader... now use Samsung tab S3... Love hoarding my magazines this way, not as cluttered... sent my avid reader of a daughter, who is in the Navy, out to sea with over 1000 books to chose from to read in the space of one small paperback book... awesome.... Love it!!!
