O Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem) é uma prova realizada pelo Ministério da Educação com o objetivo de avaliar o desempenho do estudante ao final da educação básica. O Enem também é utilizado como mecanismo de seleção para ingresso ao ensino superior, certificado de conclusão do Ensino Médio e para constituir parâmetros para a autoavaliação do participante, com vista à continuidade de sua formação e à sua inserção no mercado de trabalho.

The National Secondary Education Examination (Enem) is a test conducted by the Ministry of Education in order to assess student performance at the end of basic education. The Enem is also used as a selection mechanism for admission to higher education, high school completion certificate and to establish parameters for the participant's self-assessment with a view to continuing their training and their integration into the labor market.
