Works... not quite! (follow up) INITIAL POST: There was this BIG problem with being unable to use any of the functions - Map, Data, Options, Help, except for Restart and Exit on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4". UPDATE: Unchecking " Do not keep activities" under "Developer options" solved the problem. The app now works beautifully. The developer is very responsive to all requests for help (check the reviews); he even offered a free copy of the Pro version! Outstanding customer service, wish there were more developers like him. (FYI, I turned the offer down - IMHO, this developer deserves to be helped.) TO SUM UP: SDR hardware - $11...20. ADS-B software $2.60. Having a tool in the cockpit that helps you avoid midair collisions, and a developer that responds immediately to a request for support: PRICELESS! I would give this app a 6 *.
ALMOST AWESOME . . . This would be an awesome app except for one fatal and one annoying flaws. There is no provision to adjust for tuning error, if your device is off by more than a couple of PPM it will not receive any data. There needs to be an option to place the error offset in units of + or - PPM. Also PLEASE add an option to NOT try to start the app when I plug in the device! Most times when I plug in the device it's to use the radio app, not to run this app...
The Best The Best ADS-B Decoder app for Android !
No planes on map Receiving data but not shown planes?
Needs more run time. Seems to work on my note4 but not the Samsung tab2?. Not enough time on the so called free/test version to consider buying what can be obtained free from another source.
Awesome work Awesome app. Still simple but do the work as expected
-Data view is now a table
-Will show aircraft categories/specific icons
-Does no longer require the Avare IO helper app, all data will be sent to Avare directly
