GiveBlood is the official app of Canadian Blood Services. This app makes it easy for donors in Canada (excluding Quebec) to book, manage and keep track of their donations on the go. Users can locate their nearest donor centres and confirm their donation appointment with ease and efficiency.

Ratings and reviews

I did not have high expectations considering prior experiences with both medical and non-profits software solutions. But I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and intuitive it was to navigate, with all of the information I want plus various nice to haves (went the extra mile with a home screen widget). The ease at which one can book an appointment, set a reminder for it, cancel without penalty, and reschedule for another day suits those with busy schedules.

Looks nice but the functionality is broken. The system is not smart enough to send a whole blood questionnaire when donating whole blood. Because I've donated plasma before or have plasma defaulted somewhere in my profile, apparently it gave me the wrong survey twice in a row...meaning I had to do the blood questionaire in person. The staff has told me I will have this exact same problem if I donate plasma agai To add insult to injury, the feedback portion of the app doesn't work on Android.

great app! ... until u need to update it. why why why does it always say there is a problem with CBS servers and we need to try again later or call the 1-888 number?!(and no, uninstall and re-install doesnt fix)
