Pretty good implementation of a great game Overall it's a good game, a great way to play this in your spare time. But it has drawbacks: It loses one star for non-handling of backspace and menu bottons, and another star for having no multiplayer. Plus it would be nice if it supported the alternate map in the latest edition of the game. But still, if you like T&E, then this is a must buy.
Addictive and very enjoyable Saw this app whilst browsing and bought it on impulse having played the board game Carcassonne for many years. And it's a fab little app. Once you master the basics, games are quick but always a challenge. And it is infinitely replayable. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is that the high scores function is broken. It works ok in a session, but exit the game and scores are zeroised when next playing. And not sure what the arrows at the top of the score screen do. But for pure gameplay it's 5 stars all the way.
I love Tigris & Euphrates! I love me some Tigris & Euphrates. This version scratches the itch I have for the game without having to wait for my friends' schedules to clear up or wrangle them all together. The AI is adjustable and can be a challenge even on the easiest level, but that's good. There's room to grow! I got a little lost in the tutorial at one point, but otherwise this is an excellent digital representation of the original. Good work! :-)
Polished gem of a game. It's hard to find fault with this game. The production is great, the AI is tricky enough, the mechanics good. It's not an easy instagame and I needed to return to the rules a couple of times to make sense of aspects of the game. But if you like board games then you will already know that this is part of the joy of a worthwhile game. And worthwhile it is! Thank you.
My gripes about the app are mostly minor. The lack of online multiplayer is the main one, but as an aid to learning the game and for local games, it does the job. The tutorial is decent but kind of monolithic, don't think there's any way to skip around and review a section, but the full rules are included with links to each section which is handy. Visually it's all pretty good and clear if dated looking. I can practically feel the softened and worn cardboard looking at this thing. The game itself is fantastic- worth a try for any fan of board games who enjoys simple rule systems which give rise to deep gameplay. The theme is pretty cool too.
Solid Version of a Great Game One star taken off for the direct port, but that's totally understandable given the nature of the app. It's well done, the AI does a pretty good job, and it runs great on the variety of devices I have tried it on. Hope more boardgames come to the android side of things like this. Very well done.
