Deposit via cellphone is terrible. Try to do it many times. Most of them got failed. After months, this feature improved better on cheque image capture. However, this time the app fails on the recognition of the dollar amount of the cheque and keeps me asking to match the amount I input in the system with the one its recognition. Frustrated again.

This app is honestly bare bones, sure, it let's you check your balances and move money... but good luck trying anything else. It's a shame, coming from BoA and Chase apps, this one leaves a lot to be desired. I mean gof forbid you'd want to pay your credit card balance straight from the credit menu, right? You have to write down the amount, go to transfers, pay a bill, select your main account, then the credit account, the write the amount down yourself and then pay... come on.

Extremely limited options, especially since the only thing you have with HSBC is one of their credit cards. My main issue is that my phone (Pixel 4) has the face-ID option, but the app does not offer it to log in; the other option I am offered is fingerprint-ID, which my phone does not possess. As a result, when I try to log in, I get a message asking me for my finger-ID, and nothing else. It's as if the app doesn't register that my device uses another way of unlocking apps that's not finger-ID.
