Works good for the most part, only used for one game so far. A couple of issues I've ran into though. After the lights flash, sometimes the colors of some (1 of 4) of the bulbs stay as the team colors and don't revert to the previous state. The team scores also don't always show correctly, even after refreshing several minutes after a goal. Lastly, after changing some options (allowing opponent goal notifications and setting a delay of 10 seconds), lights stopped working altogether when a goal is scored. Running latest app and hub firmware. Overall, good app. Without the issues it would be amazing.
Works great! Delay is minimal. My only comment is that I'm not sure why the Oilers colours are red and white instead of blue and orange?? Works much better than my Bud goal lights and glasses. Thank you!
Great hockey app, simple to set up. Delay needs to be set up for around 30 seconds if streaming. What if you had the lights flash at the beginning and end of the periods to help set up the delay? Additionally will this work for the Olympics?
My wife wasn't too thrilled with my purchase of Hue Phillips lights, but she was kinda impressed with this app. Makes the game a little dinner to watch. Thanks!!! (BTW, it kinda sucks that the Kings are getting their butts kicked with our first use of this app... Kinda bittersweet, lol.)
Works as advertised. Edit. Worked last year, now I cannot get the app to connect to the bridge. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted the bridge, used the refresh button in the app but nothing works. Àpp and bridge are up to date. Help appreciated
This works great! The UI is minimal, simple, and functional. I set my lamp to red like the goal light and the overhead lights to team colors. The notification delay from the live feed on TV is anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds, which I assume is mainly based on the app's linked scoring source. The lights flashed the instant my phone received the scoring notification. You may want to set a delay if using an online stream. I couldn't ask for anything more from a programming perspective. The fast light cycle speed is fantastic! Many of the Hue apps use a slow fade on action. This is much more exciting. The default cycle duration is 6 seconds. If you like it when your team scores, go into settings and change that to 15. Best of all, the lights return to their original colors after the flash is done. That's an often forgotten feature. NHL is the best of course, but I wish other sports had an app of this quality. It seems crazy to me that someone made an app like this for hockey before NFL or soccer.
