About this app

Traces Québec Transport is a government mobile application intended for carriers covered by the Regulation respecting the traceability of excavated contaminated soil. Carriers can be a trucker-artisan or a company, municipal body, ministry, etc. owner of one or more trucks, working in the transport of contaminated soil. This new regulation, in force since November 1, 2021, reinforces the actions of the Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks (MELCCFP) in order to protect soils and groundwater and ensure the rehabilitation of contaminated sites.
The Traces Québec Transport mobile application is complementary to the Traces Québec mobile application. These mobile applications make it possible to follow the soil from the original site to the final receiving site. Each transport of soils is linked to an electronic slip in which one finds all the relevant information on the contaminated soils and the parties involved in the movement of these soils. During transport outside the original site to the chosen receiving site, the mobile application makes it possible to geolocate the movement of contaminated soil. Upon arrival at the receiving location, the latter completes the tracking slip. When all the soils of a project have been excavated, the attestation that all of the excavated soils have indeed been the subject of a tracking slip is made in the Traces Québec application. At all times, when using the mobile application, the data is synchronized with the Traces Québec web service.
The ministry has entrusted the development and management of the Traces Québec government system to the Attestra organization.
