Zanshin - Journal & Reflect

Zanshin

About this app

Speak freely, and be heard.

Some days you do not need advice. You just need to say what is on your mind, out loud, and feel heard. Zanshin is a calm, private space to do exactly that.

You talk. Rai, your companion, listens, not only to what you say but to how you feel, and responds gently, in a voice that meets you where you are. No pressure to perform. No need to be strong. No judgement.

Named after 残心 (zanshin), an idea from Japanese archery meaning "the mind that remains," Zanshin is built around calm attention and presence, the quiet moments between.

A gentler place to begin

Speak or type, whatever feels easier in the moment.
Be heard by a companion that responds with warmth, in voice or text.
Reflect with gentle, thoughtful prompts, one step at a time.
Return whenever you need to. Zanshin remembers, so you can pick up where you left off.

Who it is for For anyone carrying a little too much. For the times before, or alongside, talking to someone. Zanshin is a first step, not a replacement for therapy or the people in your life. It is simply somewhere safe to slow down and breathe.

Private by design What you share stays yours. Privacy sits at the heart of Zanshin, and you can speak anonymously.

Please note: Zanshin is a space for reflection and wellbeing. It is not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.
