Poor Design The entire user experience is enough to put you off if you're choosing this app as your main dictionary tool. The icons are blurry, the look and feel is more than a decade old and the ads are in the most obtrusive manner makes this an unattractive option. There's no other extras like how the word is pronounced or derived and types of parts to the words in the meanings space. If you can look past all this, it hits the definitions right with similar words, but it's not pretty.
Just what i need! I'm dislexic and also an English teacher. This is exactly what i bought a tablet for! Other dictionaries are time consuming as i need to try several spellings first. Predictive typing alone is insufficient as you only know the word is a correct spelling- you need the meaning to know its right. Marking essays takes a fraction of the time. 2 down sides, my students dislike the extra work now i don't worry so much about marking. In addition, i don't need synonyms - i should know enough- i expect i might become lazy. Thanks a lot!!
Pathetic app Always shows the message unfortunately the dictionary stopped working. I reinstalled it but nothing happened it's same nothing changed and finally had to rate it down. Once it was mine favourite dictionary but now its no more favourite.
An excellent precise compact Dictionary Everyone must install for any quick, to the point reference. Well done its creators. But ads are irritating sometimes. Is Paid version is available for the same to get rid off these ads ?
Crashing everytime!! Earlier version worked flawless. I can't understand what's actually the problem. My android says "Unfortunately Dictionary has stopped". I'm using Moto X 2013(India).
THANKS! So, I first got the iPhone version on my iPod way back in 2010/11 It made English lessons so much better, I started to discover a deluge of synonyms, and greatly extended my vocabulary. For years, I've kept that iPod, just for the dictionary app. Now I can have it on my phone! Definitely the best one out there! Offline is especially useful, and it's so quick! You sparked something in me, something eloquent. Thank you. I am now an A* student in English Lit and Language!
