About this app

On the road with the best app of the year: the swisstopo app won the "Master of Swiss Apps 2021" award.

Use the famous national maps to discover even the most remote places in Switzerland and topics such as hiking, cycling, snow sports and aviation. All functions and data of the app as well as offline use are free of charge. The app is free of advertising and does not require a login.

Ratings and reviews

The map is of great quality and detail and extremely helpful when hiking etc. in CH. The app used to work perfectly on Samsung Galaxy phones for me, but the very useful panorama mode for some reason isn't working at all anymore. I spent a good amount of time and effort (screenshots and lengthy email explanations) with support to find a fix it in 2025, but after being told several times it is my brand new flagship phone that is not up to par I gave up. Time to fix this issue for Android users.-2*

I have big problems with off line maps, in combination with ski-routes. Maps simply are not displayed, or vanish when changing some setting. I have already notified them last year. Now in preparation of another tour, things are still hopeless. I hope to at least find a work-around. These are the best maps, the route information in combination with my location would be very important. UPDATE: Still NO replies from support.

doesn't work. just says "NOHTTPR" but internet works for everything else on my phone. Same issue both on wifi and mobile data. Clearing cache and storage does not fix it.
