Pick it up! – Measuring Food Waste Together

How much food do you really throw away? With Pick it up!, you participate in a nationwide Swiss citizen science project and actively contribute to making food waste visible – in your household and in your region.

Here's how it works: During the measurement phase, you simply document your food waste using a short form: category, quantity, cause, and disposal method – in less than a minute per entry. Over 14 days, this creates a realistic picture of your household.

Your data, your overview: In your personal dashboard, you can see your own entries, totals, and categories at any time – and after the measurement phase, you'll also see how you compare to other households.
