About this app
The MeteoAtWork mobile application helps you protect the health of people working outdoors against the effects of high summer heat. It implements the OCIRT directive “Working outdoors during summer and during extreme heat”.
MeteoAtWork takes into account hourly and 4-day forecasts of temperature, relative humidity, sunshine for the canton of Geneva provided by MétéoSuisse and information relating to your activities and translates them into thermal stress levels.
Choose a work activity or choose the intensity of the work and the clothing worn by people at work. Is the workstation shaded? Enter this information. The predicted heat stress levels will be displayed on your phone. The higher the level of thermal stress, the greater the risk to the health of exposed people, particularly heat stroke.
Thermal stress levels are identified by different colors (1 blue, 2 green, 3 yellow, 4 red, 5 purple). The same colors are used for the corresponding measurement levels. Press the measures button and find out what you need to do to protect the occupational health of people working outdoors.
