About this app

The Basel city map shows not only the official map of the Canton of Basel-Stadt, many other current and accurate geospatial data, maps and geographic information of the cantonal administration. The map viewer includes over 25 different themes with a total of more than 100 selectable levels. The mobile version includes a slightly lower content of the standard version. The standard version can be used under map.geo.bs.ch free.

The application allows you to find addresses or land, the presentation of interesting places and the use of various additional information (distance measurement, etc.) A switchable GPS function makes finding one's own position on the map.

Just a viewer for the website. Laggy, clumsy interface. Only bonus is the GPS position indicator which is lacking on the website. Bad translation to English, switching languages is not working. Use the website, it works a little better.

Wäre von der Substanz her zwar eigentlich schon ganz brauchbar, ist aber a) offline nicht nutzbar; b) ist zwar klein, läßt sich aber nicht auf Speicherkarte auslagern und frißt somit nur internen Speicherplatz, und läßt c) kein "zweifingerzoomen" zu (auch wenn das Gerät sowas kann); das sollte eigentlich state-of-the-art sein; das oberpeinliche ist aber d) startet man das Teil offline, so gibt's nur gerade eine weiße Fläche – und man kann gar nicht "zurück", sondern nur abwürgen ... pfui däjbel!
