About this app

Smart glasses are becoming more and more parts of our daily encounters. However, they are often not easy to distinguish from regular eyewear. This app looks for their Bluetooth identification (Company Identifiers in the BTLE advertising frame, ADV_INV). It displays a notification when a smart glass is nearby (distance may be customised) , hence you may act accordingly.

The app does not appear to be working for me. When I click start scanning it does not activate. This is a fantastic idea and I'm more than willing to be patient as you fine tune the app/fix the bugs. Please keep going! Edited to add I have the pixel 10 pro. additional edit based on developer response: it appears I can't click settings or any of the icons at the top of the page. looking forward to the next version!

It works as described. I would like some sort of acknowledge button or snooze feature. The default time between alerts is 10 seconds. So if someone is next to you and has smart glasses, your phone is going to alert you every 10 seconds. You can manually go in and extend the time between alerts, but a one time acknowledge feature that would pause alerts for that specific device would be great.

Edit: As per the comment below from the developer, an update did fix the issue. So far, I haven't actually detected any smart glasses, but the app appears to be scanning for them. I had to delete the rest of my original review text due to character limits. As of 2/24/26, this app won't do anything in my Pixel 10 pro.
