ABCedeti 2.0 is a digital test that evaluates precursors and initial reading skills from pre-kindergarten to second grade. This new version incorporates a playful narrative that seeks to motivate students during the evaluation, turning the experience into something entertaining and friendly.
The test is made up of 19 subtests organized into different dimensions of the reading process, such as naming speed, phonological awareness, the alphabetic principle, grapheme recognition, reading of words and pseudowords, reading efficiency and comprehension, both oral and written. Its design allows it to be adapted to the student's course or to use a personalized modality, which is especially useful in cases where learning difficulties are detected.
ABCedeti 2.0 was designed under an invisible evaluation approach, in a digital environment that favors the active participation of students. The application can be used by educational professionals such as psychologists, educators, educational psychologists and speech therapists, who can select the most appropriate subtests according to the needs of each student.
The total duration of the evaluation varies between 25 and 35 minutes, depending on the course and the number of subtests applied. Upon completion, a report can be generated that provides a clear vision of the level of development of reading skills, facilitating pedagogical decision-making.
This version has been standardized with the Chilean population and has updated standards. The standardization process was carried out with a sample of students from different socioeconomic levels and schools in the Metropolitan Region, which guarantees the reliability of the results.
