Donna is a scientific tool helping to stay aware of the pulse shared with nature and to remember the dignity and joy of sexuality.
SHORT GRAPHIC INTRO
The video at the help section and the navigation flower (being the most accurate user interface scheme) show how to use the app.
WHAT IT RECORDS AND WHAT FOR
* mucus, bleeding, temperature, coitus
A few period symptoms such as cervical mucus, bleeding and, in addition, basal body temperature and coitus are enough to track menstruation cycle and estimate probability of conception, child's gender or to signal health problems. The temperature values are shown for Celsius or Fahrenheit scales. (Fahrenheit is used if "English (United States)" language is set for phone.) The mucus description is presented on classic colored fertility stamps like in Billings method or naprotechnology.
Taking photos of cervical mucus is a feature useful especially for beginners and couples trying to conceive a baby. A photo can be taken after the change of mucus description or trying to display current day photo in case it isn't saved yet. Mucus picture is displayed after a touch on a "pictured" mucus stamp (those with black description).
Women are much more colour sensitive than men are. What is more, it is directly caused by sex chromosome difference.
Instant colour picker sets main theme, background tint and background picture opacity.
Main theme includes colour of buttons and similar elements like active point of chart, action bar and (for Android 5.0 and higher) also staus bar. The record of this subtle, artistic choice can be interpreted as mood mapping. The app presents it as colorful beads switched on and off by #myColours option.
For Android 4.4 and higher the app generates pdf charts.
SWIPING FLOWER AND TOUCHING THE DATA
* active elements
Donna's interface is specific. Standard interactive elements are not numerous and even they are in majority rolling or sliding.
The whole chart, as such, is an interactive plate. Touching data points allows selecting a day for edition, taking and presenting mucus photos. A touch on the chart also generates a pdf file.
* swipe, flower scheme
The crucial idea of DonnaMobile is not only horizontal but also vertical swipe ability. Donna's screens include help/info screen, day observation form, a stack of charts with corresponding edition form, settings screen and gift/feedback/social media screen. Thanks to two-dimensional swipe the organization of all these parts can be convenient, we hope. And a bit surprisingly the screens scheme, thought to be just useful, has finally formed a flower - the alternative navigation system :)
