CONTENT MONITORING
Bark monitors your childās text messages, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for issues like cyberbullying, suicidal ideation, adult content, sexual predators, profanity, threats of violence, and more. It's a pain to set up. The location hasn't worked once. It incorrectly displays who said something. my son has shown me the actual conversation and he was accused several times of something he didn't say. If you think it's going to block anything... nope. But it'll tell you every time it happens anyway. I have so many alerts even after turning them to most severe only. The latest bullying alert was from "hey man whats up with that?" A refund at this point would be great. š®āšØ

app is not user friendly, the company charges a lot for these features that don't work very well. I tried for months to get numbers added, things like that, and it never worked. and when I inquired about options for my account, the rep took that as a license to charge me for the phone, putting my bank account into overdraft. and now the phone is paid off but I still can't use it, and rn I'm trying to get them to remove the software, and I keep being ignored. -10000/10

Upon use, realized the app is just not consistent. It regularly disconnects from the parent device and you have to have the child device to reset it, not a big deal but is inconvenient for a paid app. The level of the monitoring can be toggled, but the notification settings are tied to it. So if you want the "safest" monitoring it sends tons of notifications. The bedtime/school time settings would say they were active, but didn't actually work. Just ended up closing our account.
