About this app

My Chihiros APP provides a user friendly single interface for all of Chihiros Aquatic Studio’s smart aquarium devices.

Features include quick set sunrise and sunset effects; setup a timer with a touch of your finger for each of your light’s colors; Share and save your customized preset.

My Chihiros will be updated to include additional smart aquarium devices as they become available.

I don't know why it received such a low rating, this app is actually really good. The light was very easy to pair, setup, and set an automatic light schedule. I also really like the preset light adjustments. My only suggestion is to have it be more simplified. But I guess it is also designed for the power user in mind. You can have 10 chihiros light setup in series and all neatly organized. Or just 1 light and 1 tank. This is actually great. Well done! and lovely lights!!!

So, when the app works, it really works well and provides great customization for your Chihiros light. HOWEVER, it does have known issues with losing connections or not recognizing lights. Sometimes this can be easily fixed, sometimes the solution isn't obvious. So it's gets a 2/5 from me as it's not the most reliable application and when there's no physical way to alter your Chihiros light, this can be potenially disastrous for a planted tank if not fixed immediately.

I personally don't have a problem with the app. I mean, yes there are some things that could be worked on, like there have been a few times I've had to unplug the power supply to my light and plug I back to reset my connection, but all in all I like it. I will say though that for the price you pay for the light(s), the app could be par with the light. Chihiros brand lights are amazing lights in many ways, the app should be as well.
