I was looking for a way to save some money and stumbled across Long Game. It is aptly named. You are going to make a million dollars off of it, but it does help incentivize you to save money in the long term and develop good habits. I've been using it for a couple months now. Long Game does require you to make a new bank account. However, this was perfect as I was looking to actually save money. I went with Aspiration, which I liked the eco -friendly goal of. It was fairly easy to link to Long Game and I started getting incentives immediately - namely 2million Long Game tokens. These tokens are used to spend playing games. There is a free game every day that gives you tokens. I often store my tokens up until I am bored and then play a bunch of games. There is a super great variety - match 3 is my favorite. But maybe you like slots or arcade games - there's probably something you like! You "pay" to play the game by spending tokens, but remember you have earned those for free. When you win, you can get some tokens back or actual cash. As soon as you win, it goes straight into your linked bank account, literally penny by penny. Again, you're not going to win millions, but if you win a couple cents at a time, this adds up way more over time than my couple of hundred would even in a high yield savings account. And that's in addition to the interest you're earning on the linked bank account anyway. If you save at least $20 a week, you get more money faster. To make this easier for me, I move $100 a month into my Aspiration account from my main bank and then transfer $20 a week from my Aspiration spend to my Aspiration save. This gets me extra tokens. Every day, I log into Long Game and do the 6 trivia questions that earn me more tokens. They're not hard and are often educational. The app itself almost never has issues for me and is very pretty, in general. The trail leading to more savings has some variety in it and it's nice to see how you can meet your goals. In a recent update, they made the goal more individual by asking what you are saving for and when. Overall, I am doing much better at saving for a rainy day - I basically just had my checking before. I am learning more about finance and getting some extra money to motivate me to keep going in the long game of finance. App does what it sets out to do!

Had the app for about one year. Most I've won is 10 cents. The app shows a connection error every day when I log in to play the free daily game. When I come back, the daily game is gone so I don't get any extra daily coins. That part is most annoying. Winning a few cents here and there doesn't really make this app worth using. You could quite literally go for a walk and pick more change up off the ground.

After playing this for a couple of months. I realized the algorithms are all rigged and not in a fun way. The daily reward is set to pay out around 7k - 12k, and the other games will pay out more the longer you play, seems like a little reward every 5 plays and a larger one after every 10, but the luck resets everytime you leave a game. There were also greater odds when I was still in the trial period. It just feels like a waste of time to actually have an account now. Closing account.
