Hardly anyone uses this app and no one who has been on there awhile approaches new people. It also seems to be a predominant hangout for people ages 18-25 than for 25+. And as much as profiles say, "Looking for long term relationships," it's mainly users posting risqué photos to hookup. Overall, haven't been on here long, but I will most likely be deleting the app soon. It's been a major disappointment, especially considering it's more like Whisper than a serious dating app.
While the app was a bit limited in what you could do before, in terms of interaction, with the latest update it has gone nuclear on trying to make money. There is a pay wall for nearly everything that would allow you to communicate and it makes you wonder how good do they really think this app is?
Supposedly the new update encourages direct messaging instead of matching…except I still need to pay for messages? If so, that's unacceptable for the free version, since it removes base functionality from the app. A better model would be to give people a daily/weekly quota of "first messages" to at least be able to initiate communication without a pay wall. This way you could still charge people for premium services but keep the stable. As is, it's unusable.
So you allow us to search but when it come to wanting to meet some one you make us men pay I guess there are going to be a lot of lonely depressed female due to the fact men arnt gonna pay to talk to these women. Great job dumbasses
How to lose users in a month! Initially I saw this app as potentially the next big thing. It has a simple and clean interface, and it wasn't just simply a swipe L or R clone, there are features that are better. Like those swipe apps it was a free app, where you needed to match up with someone before chatting, unless you're a paid user. Clover used a heart button for likes. Then came the big update in early March 2018, which takes the heart button away. Clover creators claim, its easier for users to communicate now, you no longer have to wait for matches. A favs button is included to add people on your new favorites list. This all seem fine until you realize that the favs button replaced the heart button, so now as a free user you can browse and now add people to your favs list, but you cant communicate with them?!?....so who was this update for?, it can't be paid customers since they already were directly chatting. Clover I emailed you personally about this issue, and received no response. I honestly thought this was a glitch, I even told you that you will begin to lose users if you don't fix this issue. It wasnt an issue, but a choice that appears to be a cash grab. I can't recommend an app that is only free to browse and costs money to communicate, when free communication was allowed only a few weeks ago.
The app is powerful, and could be very helpful for the monogamous majority. I appreciate that there are options for gay or bi folks but only male or female as gender identity? And only being able to choose one option as "intention" is quite restrictive. My main problem is you cannot list as "in a relationship" etc (status is regarding legal marriage only), and there is no space made for non-monogamous individuals. It did not even allow me to create a mixer with "poly" or "polyamorous" on the title. But it's important to identify as Pastafarian?? I guess I'm disappointed.
Fixed a crash that was occurring for some users
