Database doesn't appear to have many common plants but this is actually because of the naming conventions they use. There's no tracking for misting plants, and there's no way to enter that a plant has been watered (like if it rains before it was due to be watered). Also no countdown for when next watering is due and I'm not getting any notifications. But the interface is pleasant and I think there's great potential for this app.
**EDIT. It can hold more than 6 plants, just not multiples of the same kind of plant. If you try to add another of the same type, it overwrites the older plant.** Works great if your plant is in the database. It would be nice to have a custom plant feature in order to manually add plant info for plants they don't have yet. Also, it can only hold up to 6 plants, and will delete older plants if you try to add new ones. By far the prettiest plant manager I've tried, but it's functions could be improved.
It needs common plants like strawberry or beans. Plants that people enjoy growing in garden. There are lots of trees on this app that basically take care of themselves. I don't think anyone would be using this app to water any cedar trees etc.. anytime soon. There needs to be an option to change the the temperature to Celsius. Also the icons in the action wheel need explanation.
For all the unsatisfied, Give "Botanist - Plant Care and Watering App" a try
So far so good. Many plants are still missing though or need more details, and some are missing their common names
I like the app so far, I can't wait for more features to be available on it! There are a few plants in my garden that weren't listed in the database but it I'm sure they will expand the database soon. Great work so far!
