Works with Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 Just picked up a Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 at Best buy for 69 bucks and it works perfectly with my ID-51a 50th Anniversary transceiver perfectly. I just made sure to configure the radio CI-V mode properly per the manual. Everything works great. Plus this is a great tablet for the price.
This application works very well with both my One+1 and my Nexus7 tablet. There were a couple of problems when I tried to get the cable to connect but I found that by default, the ID51A and ID51APlus radios come up with the CV-I settings turned off. You will need to go into the menu and turn on the CV-I and set the echo back to 0. These instructions really needed to be included in the instructions for the cable set that goes with this APP, but were not. I really like the map selection of nearby stations, very intuitive.
Does not work on my samsung galaxy note 10.1 or my one plus android phone. tried connecting to USB.. just comes back with USB not connected. My radio is an ICOM 7100. Need some work done and a better list of DV radios
Does not work with my phones, or my tablet.. Installs on tablet but only says USB not connected. Phones it will not install at all. A friend also had trouble with a galaxy tab 4.. This should be updated more frequently. You would think for D-star as popular as it is, that they were invest more time and effort into this app. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE RADIO/$70 CABLE until you try it with another persons cable and radio. Too much to waste if it doesnt work on your device.
Icom needs to do some work on this, it is passable as a control app, but certain things are clunky. For instance, in the Map display, the drop down menu has choices like "RX position OFF". Does that mean the RX position display IS off, or is it on now, and I should select that item to turn it off? How about using some kind of standard user interface like a check mark, or highlight, to indicate the current state of the menu items? For others that are having problems connecting their ID-51A Plus radios to smartphones using the OPC-2350LU cable, especially Samsung devices, try these RADIO settings- they agree with the default RS-MS1A application settings, and work on my Samsung Note 5: Radio MENU>Function>CI-V: CI-V Data jack: ON (Echo Back OFF); CI-V address: 86; CI-V Baud Rate: 9600bps; CI-V Transceive: ON ; Radio MENU>GPS<GPS Set: GPS Select: Internal GPS; GPS Out (To DATA Jack): ON; These settings fixed the connection failure error I was receiving. I hope this helps someone.
Nice and useful Does what it us supposed to do. It would have been good of the audio was also played on the Android device. Note that this app works fine with my stock Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running lollipop.
・Fixes a bug where the menu icon does not appear with Nexus 7 2013 tablets using Android 6.0 OS.
・Fixes a bug where on some tablet models, an off-line map will not display correctly when returning from a screen/power save.
・Fixes a bug that causes the RS-MS1A to crash when a USB port error or notification error occurs.
