About this app

Proxy is your digital identity for the physical world. It's a new way to experience the world around you.

Using Bluetooth Low Energy, Proxy turns your iPhone into a personal transponder that emits a secure signal, allowing your workplace, cafe, gyms, and much more to securely detect your physical presence and do useful things for you.

Some of the things you can do with Proxy:

- Access doors, turnstiles, elevators and more simply by waving your phone near a device or walking up to them.
- Check-in as a visitor by just walking in, and experience a new way to interact with things.

Privacy is a human right:
Proxy was created to give you full control over your privacy as you interact with things in the physical world. You control what devices or spaces can interact with your Proxy by explicitly giving permission to interact with your signal. At every point, you are in control of what information is available and have the ability to revoke access how you want to interact with the world around you.

It is convenient when it works. I often have problems with the initial entry point where I work. It takes more than 7 attempts to get in. Security lets me in more times than the proxy.

The app works great when it's running but randomly shuts down on its own after being open for a while. It kills the convenience factor when you tap your phone on an entry point only to find that the app has shut down without being closed and you have to go find it in your app drawer and restart it.

In all honesty, the app is just super unreliable. It works flawlessly one day to locking me out of my office in -20 weather the next. When safety is on the line they need to fix their bugs more frequently.
