About this app

Quis replaces your default contact app.¹ Ready for an upgrade?

• Quis remembers where and when you added contacts, so you don’t have to.²
• With ChronologicalSort, you can see the most recent contacts first.³
• With MapView, you can visualize all your contacts on a map.⁴
• Import details (name, website…) from Instagram.
• Back up your contacts in the cloud so you can recover contacts accidentally deleted (or if your phone is lost or stolen).⁵
• Powerful filters.⁶

Quis (pronounced “kwiss”) means “who” in Latin. It reflects our guiding philosophy: bring context to contacts and focus on the humans behind them.

Quis originated from recognizing that existing contact apps overly relied on forms, lacked a human-centered design, and had seen little innovation since 2007.

We constantly add new features and would love to hear your contact needs. We have been amazed by the feedback and are continuously implementing ideas from people like you. Do you have any? Please let us know at info@quis.co and we’ll incorporate your feedback in our next release!

With much love,
The Quis team

¹ Don’t worry, it syncs with the default contact app bidirectionally.
² How many did you add "James " or "Kate "? With Quis, you no longer have to.
³ Only those who you added via Quis, or for which you edited the time added manually.
⁴ Based on their postal address, phone number’s area code (US/Canada) or country code, or where they were added.
⁵ Backups can also be used to transfer a contact book from an old phone to a new one, and even between Android and iOS.
⁶ Examples: only first name, likely female, long name, has email.

The update fixed the issue of not importing contacts for me and the app "kinda" works now. The "chronological then heuristic" option works but is not 100% accurate and the "chronological then alphabetical" option doesn't seem to change anything that I can tell. (Everything is still in alphabetical order.) Fortunately the heuristic option is good enough for me considering that there is no other app that can do this!

Hi! The new version (3.2.11) might have fixed it. Would you mind trying again after updating the app? If it still doesn't work, would you mind contacting us at info@quis.co so we can help solve it for you and other affected users? Thank you!
