Well I've just joined nationwide and to be honest my previous banking app seemed much easier to use and was much better...already I could transfer money quickly if I ever was in a tough spot instead of ridiculously having to continuously go through a long process of going into the Internet banking site setting up a new payee then transferring that way. My previous back was barclays...I think you need to take a few tips from their banking app as I'm not liking this one at all...hence my 1 star rating. When I feel it's a better app or at least equally as good as my previous one I shall update my rating
Update 19/06/17 I would like to see Nationwide improve this app by integrating the Message Centre feature. For me, it is not as convenient to log onto the Internet Bank on my PC and send a message when it could easily be done on the app. --- Downloaded the new app this morning and first thoughts are that it is sleek, clean, reliable and fast. The added functions are of great use and benefit to the user, and provide a more enhancing and valuable experience when using the app. I would like to be able to send a payment or transfer to someone I have never sent a payment or transfer to before. If I owe someone at work some money, I have to login via Internet Banking to set their account up - not convenient.
Good app but...would it be possible to have pin sentry option like Barclays has? There is also a bi of a security issue when you press home button to go out of the app, it doesnt log you out. I am confident that good people behind the app are working on these issues just as they are on pending transaction issue. I like the way they answer on any comment or suggestion. Dragan
Difficult to rate the app since it times out before I can enter date of birth through the calendar pop up when setting it up for the first time. Is there an alternative way to enter the date on android S7 edge? Thanks NW for the prompt response, fine when I found the option to change the year, not obvious to me. Interface is clear so should be useful with the bio entry.
The app is working better now. It would be good to have the facility to set up automated transfers between your own savings and current accounts. Twice a month I have log in to simply push money around to meet regular direct debits. If I forget then I will go into my overdraft, which is a pain.
This app used to be good! what's going on? you've changed the main page which is horrible preferred how it was, and now I can't access my accounts itnwont let me see my transactions or transfer money's etc just basically tells me how much anywhere and that's it, It won't let me tap on any account and show my transactions like before! An update is meant to be for the better not worse!!
