I read reviews. I was hesitant as I usually am for apps in the 3 star range. Bad at initial setup. It looped me back to the create account screen over and over. This after both of us installed it. Uninstalling now and I'll try another app.
This app does not work for my husband and I's needs. I see 4 main categories - Balances, Activities, Budget and Bills. I tried linking my bank account, my bank isn't one they support so that does me no good tracking my balance. Next my husband links his bank account and it makes the Activity tab cluttered and confusing. My main reason for wanting this app was to track our bank balances automatically and it can't for my bank. And then I want to be able to put in my daily expenses I may spend on my credit card. It's frustrating as I do not see any feature for adding random spending to track my expenses. Lastly, the Bill section is not important to us because we auto pay everything. I just want to track my monthly small expenses and add the big monthly expenses on top of that to see our combined spending and have no idea if you can do this with this app. It's pretty basic in my opinion and not up to what is needed from it.
Really like the Expense Splitting/Tracking, but the "Settle up" bit of it is borked. My partner marked the amount as paid and it shows the balance as zero on her app, but the balance doubled on my end. PIN is not censored as you type it. I don't understand why I can't use fingerprint authentication without a PIN. A four digit PIN that can completely bypass the fingerprint auth does not "strengthen" it, that breaks it. Especially when the PIN is handled in app vs. fingerprint which is handled on the system level.
Not bad so far, but not quite sufficient for my uses yet. Syncing with a bank seems to work fairly well. The interface is OK, though a little cluttered on the Activity tab in particular. For some reason, it's possible to make custom expense categories (under the Budget tab options, not under Activity) but not to actually assign transactions to those categories, so they don't serve any use right now. It's also not possible to set up rules to automatically assign categories, so there would be lot of manual effort in assigning and fixing transactions that aren't automatically recognized, of which there are many. I'll be uninstalling and will continue to track expenses with Mint and a spreadsheet until it has all the functions I need.
I LOVE THIS APP! Cannot rave enough about it. It has made paying and splitting the bills as well as tracking our accounts so much easier. It provides the insight in to our financials that my partner and I want and need. Would and do recemmond to everyone!
I can't add my wife because she is "already a member of HoneyDue" (?) Brilliant. How do we add our partner and merge accounts then? I assumed this would have been a core part of the business model...
• Improved the way you add your accounts, including manual accounts.
• Improved custom categories with icons, and be able to auto-categorize transactions to your custom categories
• Fixed the way totals are calculated for split expenses
Manage your personal finances and easily track your money, expenses, budget.
