Good game. Refreshing to find a game that actually lets you control it. And no combos, they just ruin gameplay. I like it, well done. It does kindof make me want to play terraria though,although i grew up on wonderboy. Perhaps mining would be a good addition to a sequel? This combat is better than terreria though

Ok, so I probably would've given a better review if I had lower expectations. Recently I have been playing a different action platformer called Dan the man. It is probably the best mobile game on the market,and is 20 times better than this. The plot is better, the graphics are better, the controls are better, and even the- well, ya know what? Everything is better. Get it.(I promise that this review is not sponsored, its just personal opinion.) I thought it would be fun to try out a different platformer, but I was wrong.

This game is awesome! They're aren't many high quality retro side-scrollers in the Play Store, but this is one of them. The controls are tight and responsive, the 8 bit graphics are utilized well and look great, and the gameplay is challenging, but never feels punishing. I only wish the upgrade system was a more prominent element. Even so, it is still, without a doubt, worth 5 stars. I hope to see more games like this, or even a sequel to Sword of Xolan from this developer.

I don't write mobile reviews often, but after clearing the first forest stage and defeating the boss Beethor I had to give this game 5 stars. As far as platformers go this is perfect. If you miss the Gameboy day platformers this will have a special place in your heart if you're willing to try it. And as far as advertisementa go they are skippable after 3 seconds, and they don't intrude into the game, only after you die a few times! And you will die 😎

The control buttons are placed perfectly so it is very easy to control the character. I really enjoy the gamrplay in that lot of the people you have to save are hidden, so you really explore the whole level. Also, it is great how the AI Progressively get more difficult and more complex as you go from level to level, but not too much to the point it is nearly impossible to finish a level

I never expected a game for Android to be so old school and challenging at the same time. It took me back to the NES games era, some levels were almost impossible but with the right timing and strategy I could beat them. Simple and awesome, keep up the good work guys.

A cool retro game with a classic (and somewhat cliched, but nevertheless very fun) 3-part world. Challenging and very fun. Great graphics. The feel of the game makes you want to keep trying despite being stuck on that one level you can't beat.
Everyone else seems to be saying that they wanted upgrades, but I like the challenge. Nothing is a 1-hit kill, bringing in a test games seem to be lacking nowadays. Absolutely love this game!
Hands down my favorite game for Android, I only wish it were longer. Great controls, a couple of funny glitches where you can get yourself stuck in walls, perfect other than that.
A challenging classic action platformer game in mobile device. What more do you need? No combo, no microtransactions, very few ads and no bullshit. Cons? Very few acts and no control UI settings.
Enjoyable. I've even been trying to get 100% achivements. It seems the 2 achivements for rescue and treasure on lv 3 are glitched though since they won't unlock despite being completed.
Controls are horrible on the pixel xl. I press the sword button several times and I end up jumping. The bottom row doesn't go away so I end up hitting my task manager every now and then. Not able to play it seriously for these two major issues.
protip: arrange the buttons like the sega genesis and it is much easier to control. even for me who has not played any of these genre of games before the difficulty is fun and won't kill you. there dosen't need to be a good story the gameplay is top quality and a must-play. i am not a hired game reviewer.
Was a solid platformer. Only issue i had was the boss stages would try to go to cinimatic and would just say loading and i had to quit out. Also the all cards acheivement never unlocked for some reason.
Awesome gameplay... Like a retro super Mario meets legend of Zelda... Super cool easy levels that progressively get harder... Very immersive
Great game.It made me remember my childhood. Update-I just defeated Borzandar.I completed the whole game without using any game cards to power up Xolan 🙌🙌🙌
Awesome game. I'm a bit of a completionist though so I tried to get all the achievements. The one about getting all the cards bugged out and it says %90 even though I have all the cards, so I'm pissed about that.
The whole thing is excellent. Unfortunately, I'm losing my resolve at Act 3 Scene 8, because of the need to restart so often. Would checkpoints be a possibility?
Hi i just started playing this game today. And i must say its good. It has retro vibe to it but it is frustrating to reset the level again. If its ok. Please add a checkpoint so it wouldnt be too difficult to reset and reset on the levels. Thank you.
Plays a lot like Shovel Knight. I usually hate phone games but not this one! Honestly like it more than Shovel Knight. Such a fun game
The game constantly gets more challenging as you progress which makes it a good and fun game. I had issues with some of the achievements though, for some reason the completion achievements didn't work
Troubling The mushroom only gets you so high. How do you get to the top.
Great level design, enemy variation, and enemy AI. Awesome pixel art and 2D physics. I don't like how I buy random game cards instead of choosing weapons, status effects, and so on from gold and leveling up. I think the game would have been more complex and fun with an inventory of items from the shop. Still, it is a fun platformer.
Great graphics,great gameplay and simple story. What more could I possibly want. More characters with different weapons. Just a nitpick I have in the game
One of the best 2d platform arcade games. Good gameplay and my 4 yrs nephew loves playing this game too. Love the fact that it pairs with my 8bitdo bluetooth gamepad. Pls make more games with support for bluetooth gamepad as I love retro style more than swipe and touch.
This is exactly the type of platformers we need on Android. I'm loving this game in all its retro glory. Great gameplay, awesome art style and the controls are so easy to use. Hopefully more games like thus start appearing on the Play Store.
A bit delay on the buttons with my phone but it's a solid, fun game. Nothing new but still great.
I was searching for some old platform games from the eighties but found this.Easily as much fun as the arcade games of my youth.The voice over is hilarious and i hope theyll be more levels. Has great gameplay in a simple yet odly addictive way.
Loads of fun. Great little time waster. Wish there was a storyline to follow in each level/act, but seems to just be at the beginning and end. Fun nonetheless!
This is my favourite android game. The graphics suit it well, the levels strike a nice balance between impossible and simple, and it's full of content. I've finished the entire game (including challenge levels) and I'd like it if the game developers introduced more levels.
The controls are so buggy and unresponsive. Fix this and it would be a clear five star.

There is a lot of attention to detail in the design of this game. From the voice overs to the sprites themselves, this game has a unique feel. The card mechanic is also cool. My only wish was that it was a bit more challenging
Wow. I have installed this game for about 2 years ago. And I still have this game. I have finished the game too. This game is designed very well. This game has many stunning levels that require a really good strategy and timming. Simple but really challenging!

Great game. Love the location, the enemies, the combat system, the bosses, the power ups, and the amazing retro feel. This is a platformer for everyone. It might be difficult but is fun and worth a try.
Beautiful game, but suffers from poor controls(inherent to the platform) and poor localization. This would probably do better on Steam, and would be much more fun! Keep at it, Alper! This is a gem but the mobile platform does not do platforming well. Consider porting it to Steam and selling it for $2-5

Game is very well polished and the controls are on point. Relatively short but very good graphic and level design. It is worth the one dollar to remove the advertisements to improve your experience.
Great game. Fun time killer. Only downside is it is a bit short. You can beat all levels and get all 19 achievements in just a few days.
