Reflected walking sound simulator for underlays

Thank you for choosing our application.
One of the most important advantages of acoustic floor underlays is the ability to eliminate the sound of footsteps on the floor (known as acoustic improvement) determined in the EPLF recommendation as RWS, meaning Reflected Walking Sound improvement.
Because this phenomenon is not widely known, it is difficult for the end user to assess how a specific RWS value translates into a real life experience and how to evaluate the expected difference when selecting a specific floor underlay.
An innovative material called RWS Barrier, developed by Fair Underlay, is a breakthrough technology of reflected walking sound improvement. It sets a new highest standard, unachievable by any other traditional underlays.
This application, developed in collaboration with a Fair Underlay research lab, allows you to compare the sound of footsteps on the laminated floor installed over different floor underlays. It was originally made to visualize the extraordinary performance of RWS Barrier technology in reflected walking sound elimination, in comparison with traditional floor underlays.
Presented results have only comparative purpose and should be treated illustratively. The actual effect of eliminating footsteps sounds depends on the specific installation conditions, the characteristics of the floor and the subfloor on which it was mounted.
