I have used Avenza mapa for several years and it used to work flawlessly. Admittedly I haven't used it for the past couple years, but now I want to use it again and it just won't function correctly. I can load a map from QR code, the app just sits there and keeps trying to focus. When I look for a publisher to but a map from it won't load a publisher list or search for the one I typed in. So at this point it is just taking up space on my phone and not useful at all. UPDATE: It eventually worked

Works great for walking in state parks. GPS location does not need internet access. Free maps are spotty. Maps come from many sources and are not consistent. Imagine: a city might release an in town walking tour with sights and restaurants, a park may release their hiking trail, some topo maps and NOAA navigation charts. I have not explored the charagable maps yet.

This app use to be great, same maps I downloaded last year won't show up in search. Had no issues last November. Shame such a useful flawless app went south. I tried searching for national scenic trails like the NCT and Wisconsin IAT, everything that comes up has nothing to do with either. ?????? This thing hasn't heard of the porcupine mountains state park..??? WHAT HAPPENED??!! 😡 Gimme my app back!
