The Application is fully self contained requiring only minimal input to perform complex calculations. Drill Pipe, Tubing, Casing, Pipe Displacement and Wireline Specifications are preloaded in the application making it easy to specify sizes and weights. The built in checks and limits are to validate user input, prevent typo's and stop erroneous answers from being returned. The checks and error message setup is such that you will not be prevented from working with values outside the built in limits, rather a warning pops up to let you know the values in question are either very high or very low for a given situation. However where the answer makes no sense at all you will be prompted to check the input. You can leave the application, make a phone call, find a restaurant, play a game, whatever it happens to be then come back to the app and any data that you had entered will still be there. At the press of a button you can capture the results of any page and email them from within the application as a .png. Once you are done with a page you can shake the Tablet or Phone and the page will reset.

Drilling tool box is a drilling simulator application for smart phones and tablets used for solving drilling problems in an easy and fast way. The application can solve hydraulics problems and design your required mud. For example, it can calculate the number of strokes and time required to fill the hole or the displaced pipes volume. Moreover, it can calculate the volume of cement, number of strokes and time required to set casing in the hole. In addition, it has a built in smart dictionary for explanations about petroleum industry terms. Furthermore, it can design different well control operations and select the suitable one for the case. Moreover, it can design full directional drilling plan and plot the trajectory of the directional well. It can also transpose measured depth to true vertical depth and vise versa. Finally, it can plot equivalent circulation density (ECD) versus depth with fracture density and pore density lines in the same plot for a yield power law drilling fluid .By minimum viscometer data, the rheology model parameters can be determined automatically by the application giving the best fit for the drilling fluid behavior. The plot is sensitive to mud flow rate to see if we have safe over-balanced drilling Operation for that flow rate or not.

المشروع عبارة عن برنامج للهواتف الذكية والأجهزة اللوحية يستخدم لحل مشاكل الحفر بطريق سهلة وسريعة. البرنامج يستطيع حل المشاكل المتعلقة بطين الحفر وتصميمه بالوقت نفسه. فمثلا يستطيع البرنامج حساب عدد ضخات المضخه والوقت اللازم لملئ الحفرة أو الحجم الناتج عن إزاحة أنابيب الحفر. إضافة إلى ذلك يستطيع البرنامج حساب حجم الإسمنت وعدد الضخات والوقت اللازم لتثبيت دعامات الحفرة بمكانها. بالإضافة يحتوي البرنامج على قاموس معاني المصطلحات المستخدمة في صناعات البترول. وأكثر من ذلك يستطيع البرنامج تصميم عمليات تحكم الآبار المختلفة واختيار الأنسب من بينهم. وبالإضافة يستطيع البرنامج تصميم عمليات الحفر المائل ورسم مخطط للعمق العمودي الحقيقي مع الإزاحة. ويستطيع حساب العمق العمودي الحقيقي او طول الحفرة أو الإزاحة من خلال إدخال المستخدم لإحدى هذه القيم لكي يحسب القيمتين الأخريين. وأخيرا يستطيع البرنامج رسم كثافة التدوير المكافئه بالنسبة العمق مع وجود خط كثافة الكسر وخط كثافة المسامات برسمة واحده لطين الحفر اللذي يتبع نموذج هيرشل وبلكلي. بإدخال المستخدم لست قراءات لإجهاد القص وسرعة الدوران لكل قراءة لجهاز قياس اللزوجة ،وسيحدد البرنامج قيم ثوابت نموذج هيرشل وبلكلي تلقائيا لتعطي أفضل تماثل لسلوك سائل الحفر.الرسمة ستكون حساسة لمعدل ضخ طين الحفر لنعرف هل عملي الحفر آمن أم لا.
