About this app

The basic (free for use) version allows users of DML (Digger's Movie Library - a free Windows DVD/Bluray/UHD library) to load library files produced by their Windows DML application. These files create, or update their mobile library.
With the basic Mobile version you can quickly and easily catalogue all of your DVD/Blu-ray/UHD movies, and as this is all loaded on your Android phone, you can then take the movie library with you wherever you go.
This version displays a list of all movies in the library and when a movie is selected, it displays the following details; Disc type, Storage location (of the disc), Date the movie was released, Movie runtime, Certification, DML 'My Rating', Tagline, Overview, Genres, and the movie cast.
There are two Sort options, Sort by title A-Z, and Sort By Release Date, Newest movies first.
You can zoom the main view of the movie list to show either two or four movie titles.
There is also a search function to enable you to quickly find a particular movie. If you are just testing this app, please be aware that you will need enough titles loaded that the search function can bring a title in to view. If a title that is already in view is the result of a search, the app will appear to do nothing.
The free version also allows users to add movie titles via the TMDb interface.
But once added, you will not be able to use any of the other tools from the paid version such as manually adding, editing, removing movie titles, or any of the filtering tools. If you wish to edit, or delete movie titles from your library you will have to do so using the Windows DML version and then load the update files.

Ratings and reviews

The best app of it's kind from what I can tell so far. Even the free version is very helpful and pretty straightforward. The system uses an online database to download information about the movie you search for and all of the input is editable, including which format you have ( DVD, VHS, etc.). Definitely recommend especially in comparison to all the other apps which require subscription or aren't nearly as functional. Good job, creator!

Great developer support, and even added a "Shelves" import option on my request for my huge database. Was first turned off about the PC component (not required for the low cost DVD version); however, the PC install simply creates a main drive directory with included files. Thus this app, and the PC version, both have no special/odd required privileges. This was a big plus; but, also the database once created is NOT dependent on the network to retrieve your very graphical information. Also I copy my files from device to device, crazy flexible and the GUI does searchs and I guess I could go on and on... p.s. When searching don't be looking for the "go" key as the search continously processes the string as you type...

It's a good app until after entering 60 dvd movies it froze and everything disappeared. They shouldn't advertise as free because it's not. Now I have to find another app and start all over again. 🤨

What's new

Version 2.2.2 has been updated to be able to use the new DML Windows files (DML Windows version 3.5.0 and higher).
If you are going to use the files from a DML Windows app (version 3.5.0 or above) you must upgrade your DML_Free version to at least version 2.2.2.
This new version will update any existing files in your old app so that they will work with all current DML and DMLMobile apps.
