I love this app, but I have a question. As a business owner, would my posts get knocked down by Facebook if they detect this app being used? I know facebook uses mic to spy on what people talk about in order to present more relevant ads. How about some more detailed logs that show what app tried to access a mic, camera, or whatever. Thanks ! Update: dvasive uses 40 percent of my battery today when blocking microphone.
The only troubling thing is that the log file does not show you the actual app or process that violated the server policy. Why would my mic turn on when I am sleeping? Great question... Yet the log doesnt tell me a damn thing.
Although no anti spy is going to be able to tell you what app is accessing your cam/mic/ect... this information should be ours to know
Let's me know what is working. Caught Facebook taking photos when I wasn't on the app! They do take photos of you when your are vulnerable.
App does what it says most of the time. The widget has problems as it does not respond 80+% of the time. You have to go into the app to get the widget to function and that defeats the purpose of the widget. Bluetooth says it's blocked but still functions. And every once and awhile the app shuts down for no reason. I still recommend this app if you care about privacy. The mic and camera block work well.
I wish it was more flexible. I want it to both secure my devices AND show optional notifications at the same time. Is this included? I also want be able to add exceptions, like to allow my camera, sound recorder or fb messenger automatically whenever it's in the foreground and I'm using it. Also since we give admin, logs should show the offending app. Also there should just be a 1x1 widget to simply toggle dvasive on/off. And there should be an option to remove it from the notification persistently but keep giving notifications. I will update this status as my views change.
- Added a fix for log files for Android OS 7.0 and greater.
