About this game

With this game and the two that will follow, we want to make known legends of Catalan folklore, which are not as well known, at least in our area, as others such as Sant Jordi or the Devil's Bridge are. We also want to promote the use of Catalan in digital environments and take the opportunity to make Catalan words or expressions that are gradually falling into disuse visible and generate material adapted for everyone.

The legend explains how three men from Sant Llorenç de Morunys, known as the "prudent wise men", embark on a journey to the Manresa fair to buy a mare, but a series of misunderstandings and deceptions along the way will test their supposed wisdom in an unexpected and very comical way.

The story allows us to understand why in that area, today, pumpkins are known as mare's eggs.

The game basically consists of a digital book where we can read the legend page by page.

You will find 4 modes of use of the game according to what interests you most at each moment.

First of all we will find the "Story with challenges" mode:
In this mode we will see small challenges that we will have to overcome to be able to continue in the story. In total 5 mini challenges. It is the complete game mode and therefore it is the one we recommend the first time.

Second of all you will find the "Story followed" mode:
In which you can turn pages and advance in the story without any challenge that interrupts us.

Third of all you will find the "Listen to story" mode:
As its name indicates if you choose this mode you will be able to listen to the audio followed by the entire story, which would become the audiobook of the legend.

And finally you will find the "Play the challenges" mode:
In this mode you can access any of the 5 minigames directly without having to go through the story.

The minigames are very simple as they are designed to be accessible on a cognitive level and they are also simple in terms of mechanics as we had to adapt them so that they could be played with the finger/mouse and also with a button.
