CONNECTION ISSUES! that's all I get. The old app was fine with me, it's sad I can't use it anymore. This app looks AMAZING, rivaling other streamimg apps such as Netflix and Hulu. But it's too hard to get a good connection. It's just not constant. I'll be happy to give the app another shot when it's patched, but until then I think I'll use my browser or the PS4.. Definitely headed in the right direction with the app tho, and I love FUNIMATION!
I live in a rural area with ADSL of about 3Mbps (down) / 0.3Mbps (up) and the low quality option in the video player isn't low enough. I think it is trying to do 360p image quality, but the video stream eats up all of my bandwidth. I need a video quality option that is lower than 360p or something that streams around 1Mbps. Currently the only way that I can use the app from (mobile, xbox, PC, or the website video player), is if I set a QoS bandwidth limiter in my router to 1Mbps (down), so I don't hog all of the bandwidth in the house. The video player auto adjusts to stream at 1 Mbps, which is very nice, and I am perfectly fine with the image quality that this results in, Although, I think that the video player itself should have lower quality streaming options for people that live in rural areas such as myself.
I really enjoy the app personally as a free user. I think it has a great selection of dubbed animes although it would be nice to see more animes added on eventually such as The Story of Saiunkoku and The Twelve Kingdoms. In terms of adds compared to apps such as Crunchyroll the adds are not over the top when you are a free user. To put it simply I am perfectly fine watching three adds in order to watch an entire episode of an anime. It can be annoying that if you want to back up and end up going over an add marker you have to rewatch an add but that is quit common when you are a free user so I see no reason to complain.
TOO MUCH BUFFERING! App would be awesome but it's always buffering on my phone. The screen pauses and the sound has to repeat. It's so frustrating! It does it several times each episode. I see other people complaining about the same issues. Please, fix it! I have premium, and if this issue isnt fixed soon, I'll be canceling my account.
This app has been very good up until the latest update. Now while casting to Google chromecast with 25mb up and down on a wifi network; shows are constantly buffering and refusing to play after a certain number of times. It is very frustrating... Please fix
The fact that your app doesn't work on anything and I'm so tired of the buffering! Great shows but what's the point when every 5 seconds it stops to buffer. I got 200 mbps internet and it still won't play. Get it together funimation, I'm tired of having a bad experience with your app.
