Does not play Nothing plays, it keeps shutting the app down. Will upgrade when it actually works. I have sent feedback and crash report with logs included.
Suddenly Stops Love that I can watch Game of Thrones on my phone. Its always great quality and does constantly buffer. BUT some days I'm unable to even use the app. It closes in the middle of an episode and then does work the rest of the day. I've even had to uninstall the app several times to get it to work again. You think such a large company wouldn't have such an error filled app...
Navagation Ilove HBO go all the shows are great and I never run out of things to watch but it's very hard to navagate it's almost pointless to use all you can fine are popular TV shows why is it that when I type in a TV show nothing shows up do I have to search by episode?? Nobody memorizes episode names of what they want to watch
It's ok I love the chrome cast support. The new update is better than before, however it's not even close to other streaming apps. You finally fixed the large letter showing in the middle of the page when scrolling (thanks). A couple issues off the bat. First is that when on the search page and then you click on the back button, it doesn't do anything. The second is that the design is flawed. The menu is supposed to pull out from the left when you see the 3 bars, but it doesn't. Please fix.
An Attempt Was Made You guys really tried with the new update, but there are still a ton of problems. No static notification for quickly pausing and opening the app from the lock screen, and the currently playing bar at the bottom of the app blocks other content in the app. It would also be nice if there was a queue function; we all know that we don't watch just one episode. It got better than it was before, but still not up to par with the other streaming apps.
Better than before but still needs work Finally works with Android N and UI is better than before but still crashes, Chromecast issues, and difficult to navigate, not intuitive. And where is Material Design?! Come on HBO, I expect more from a premium provider than this mediocre level app, my guess is it's outsourced. Time to get with the times, realize that streaming is the future, the future is here so it's time to bring app development in house and hire some decent app engineers. Get your s**t together. Until then... 2 stars
