App is horrible. Never seems to cast on google chromecast without some sort of delay or error. Have to force close ever time in order to get it to work again. Slow and buggy. Needs alot of improvements which is sad given that HBO should provide the most premium quality of all streaming apps.
Please fix the "Simultaneous streaming" bug. Why is it a science project to switch from my laptop to my phone? I have to turn off my phone and then wait like ten minutes for the detection to go away. That's nuts. If there is no content playing, then I am not streaming. Please use this logic when determining that. It's just annoying.
Used to work great. It still sucks after the recent update. Chromecast streaming is a horrible experience. Hate it. Loading times are way too long. App is sluggish and unresponsive. Where is the money going? Netflix and Hulu have great apps, AND THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN HBO!!!! This is embarrassing. HBO works much better on Xbox or PS4, which means that it's this mobile app that's the problem. You must outsource your app development to some Chinese sweatshop like my employer does. Get it together, HBO, you suck!
I used to love thus app, but on my way to work today I got logged out. Now, when I try to log back in with my Comcast ID, it just keeps going in circles and won't let me watch a show. I only have HBO so I can watch it during my commute. If this problem persists, I'm cancelling my subscription.
This app worked great until the nougat upgrade. Its obvious someone did not test it. How is that possible? It appears that the constant crash is related to screen rotation. Every time you try to play a video it flips to landscape then crashes.
While HBO creates some good shows, this app is terrible. Video lag is common as is the issue of "can't play this video" while in the middle of playing a video. The categories are not intuitive, there's a distinct inability to create a watch list (seems like I found the option once but the selection didn't stick anyway) and that it always takes you to episode 1 even if you're done with the first three seasons is just extra annoying.
