3 updates and still doesn't work Stop telling people to email you, you guys know the app doesn't work. Did AT&T get a hold of your build team? They seem to ruin everything they touch and the same can be said about this update. Force closes anytime you try to watch any shows. Previous version worked great, how about you go back to that build.
Where is the persistent Chromecast notification? This app is borderline unusable with Chromecast since it was redesigned. There is no persistent Chromecast notification when you leave the app or turn your phone screen off. To control it, every time I have to go into the app, hit reconnect to Chromecast and then control. No other apps are like this for me!
Stopped working on my tablet Used to love this app. Now it has stopped working on my tablet (Galaxy 10.1). All I get, when I try to start the app, is the HBO logo then an error (no connection) message. I am definitely connected and have tried restarting, app and tablet, and reinstalling app to no avail. Works great on phone and xbox.
It's great, but Ever since the latest update. It works much less with my Google chromecast. Once I play a movie or show. Lock my phone. Unlock it. The play controls disappear. The scrub bar and the volume controls. I really miss the last version where my phone can be locked and I just hit the volume rocker and the volume changes. Now. Nothing
Ugh! The version previous to this update worked almost flawlessly. The app launched fast, content loaded fast and was arranged nicely. Now it launches slowly, search engine is slow, content loads slowly, constantly disconnects from chromecast and crashes half the time. This was a classic case if fixing something that was not broken. Please bring back the previous version!
Still not fixed. I am editing my review for the 6th time to once again say that the app is NOT fixed. I still can't understand how HBO has gotten away with a dysfunctional app for years now. Edit: now my watch list is completely gone. Nowhere to be found. What a horrible app.
