Took me a while to find the right cable before it would work. First impressions was very good. Seemed to work well with my Nikon D5200 and Samsung S5. Shooting JPG's works well and all the shots saved to phone. So should be easy to file share with Instagram etc . Hope the RAW file feature works well after upgrading to paid.
Great app. I like it and being using for video for a while. My camera is Nikon D5500. I like it that you can choose where to store taken photos and video. About video only thing lacking for me is no preview of battery status and recording countdown. If that can be added it will be perfect. Great work!
I'm using Sony Z5 premium (android 6.0.1) and Nikon D7200 I had some trouble connecting to the camera but after changing the name of the camera WiFi and changing the ip-adress using Nikons own application I uninstalled the Nikon app and helicon connected just fine. After very limited use of the free version I think I'll buy the whole program when I have money again. But it would be great if I didn't have to remove the Nikon app or if I didn't need it to control the WiFi settings on the camera.
Difficult to completely close the app. Update: most apps do not need to be closed from within the app. I should be able to close it from the recent apps screen. Currently that still leaves an annoying notification behind (even if a camera isn't connected). I then have to reopen the app, and remember where it keeps the quit option.
Want to love it but for what I want it to do it isn't working. Maybe the bug report will help get it solved. Entire reason I was considering this was to do 12, 1 stop difference exposure bracketing for the upcoming eclipse. Just fails after the first shot over and over with my D800. I get that it is an older camera in some regards but it is usb3. I am using a Galaxy S8 for the connection. Overall many aspects very delayed.
I found this app really great for filming with my Nikon d750 especially the focus peaking. Only problem seems to be when adjusting settings in app is doesn't actually change the camera settings. If that is fixed this would be 5stars.
White balance color temperature setting fixed for all new Nikon cameras (D800/D810, D4, D7200 etc.)
