Hello Helicon, i would like to know weather i can connect my Canon dslr i.e 1300D with wifi hotspot or not? I have tried once but I didn't worked. Can you help me out with it? will it connect through wifi or it is mandatory to connect usb cable to get connection?
I decided to give this app a try and it worked fine. However, when they say the free version only supports jpg they mean that they change the setting on your camera without asking. Next time I came home after a shoot I found out that while I thought I was shooting RAW I only got JPG files. Very annoying for post-processing.
*As per the developer's request to elaborate, I'm updating my review* First, when I opened the app to start using it, my camera started taking photos without me having pressed a button. Next, I was continuously bombarded by pop-ups stating that the camera was having issues and that I needed to submit a bug report. Finally, the overall feel of the app is extremely cluttered and I found myself lost trying to perform a simple task. After switching to another controller, I didn't have any problems. I'm running this on an Nexus 6P and my camera is a Canon T6i. Uninstalled after 5 straight minutes of disappointment.
Screen on left and controls on right will be more user friendly or full screen with controls divided on either sides.. While touch focusing on screen the red dot seem kind of gaming effect which is not a pro look.. Connectivity is very good.. Controller response is very good.. Thanks
Managed to connect with WU-1b on d600 only once. Even then HR kept constantly changing the quality of a shot, that L/S symbol spun around like crazy. When I checked afterwards in camera, it had changed the size to small and quality to worst, all without user input at all. Never managed to do anything sensible with this app towards my intentions of wireless connectivity to my dslr.
Wonderful app. UI Could needs work to be less touchy and in the way. But it says something when your app is better than Nikon's... or rather theirs is practically useless.
Fixed the app not opening on Android 4.
