Never too old to improve your life with Taekwondo training.

Whether it’s taking on the challenge of learning a new skill, trying to learn self defence, or improving fitness.
No matter what your age or your fitness level, the family friendly Taekwondo Academy can teach any adult how to do taekwondo.

Tae Kwon Do is one of the most exciting and powerful martial arts that involves dynamic kicking and hand techniques. The training and discipline required for tae kwon do inspire positive changes in all aspects of life.

Taekwondo training involves practicing individual techniques and counters, sparring, board breaking techniques and pattern training.
Patterns are set routines that contain all the techniques, stances and movements of tae kwon do and allow practitioners to perfect their skills on their own.

Learn the basic stances. It's necessary to learn how to properly stand, balance and shift your weight before attempting more complex maneuvers. The Front Stance and Back Stance are the two most used positions.

Practice the basic strikes. The front punch is the first strike you should understand. The power of Tae Kwon Do strikes comes from the speed, not muscle. Punches are delivered so that only the first two knuckles of the hand come in contact with the target.

Try the basic blocks. High Block, Middle Block and Low Block are essential defense techniques. Practice each one in both the front and back stances until you are comfortable.

Master the Front, Side and Roundhouse kicks. These moves make up the final elements of the basic Tae Kwon Do technique. Each has its strengths and weaknesses and require you to strike with various parts of your feet. When practicing focus on speed, leg extension and balance.

Put it all together. Forms or "Poomse" combine kicking, punching and blocking into choreographed routines designed to sharpen skills and fluidity between movements.

Learn the Korean martial art taekwondo with the drills, kicks, and sparring techniques demonstrated by expert in these Application videos.
